President Erdoğan inspected the EXPO 2016 Antalya exhibition area, which will be opened on 23 April this year in Antalya.
President Erdoğan was debriefed about the project, then moved to field and visited Agriculture and Biodiversity Museum, Children Island, Restaurant Street, Rain Forests Greenhouse, Congress Center works in person and viewed the area from top of the EXPO Hill.
President Erdoğan, after arriving to main entrance of EXPO 2016 Antalya Exhibition Area, attended to the planting ceremony of 945-year old olive tree brought from Bademli village of Ödemiş District of İzmir. President Erdoğan, adding soil and life water to the oldest olive tree of Turkey with 2.55 meter diameter which was palnted in 1071 in Bademli, told that "Such a tree. We believe it will cling here too and become one of the most important wealth of 2016 botanic garden. It will carry the history to present day and today to future." |
