Turkey Opens New Bridge Over The Bosphorus Strait

The project is one of the many that the government have planned for the country. The new bridge connects the Bosphorus Strait, a waterway in northwestern Turkey that separates Asian Turkey from European Turkey. It is the third bridge over the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul.

According to the Turkish and Italian developers of the megaproject, the Yavuz Sultan Selim bridge the world’s widest suspension bridge at 192 feet wide. The bridge has ten lanes and its towers are also the world’s tallest, according to officials.

President Erdogan attended the opening ceremony, where thousands of people watched as balloons flew in the sky. The bridge is the third over the Bosphorus Strait but it is much bigger and is one of the megaprojects that the government has planned.

The Yavuz Sultan Selim bridge is the latest addition to Istanbul, a city that has seen a few changes in the last few years. Istanbul, a major city in Turkey, has seen a number of new buildings and roads. The projects are being completed to drive economic growth but the country has had a number of problems recently.

The cost of the Yavuz Sultan Selim bridge was around $3 billion, which is a small number of the $200 billion the government announced that it would spend on megaprojects in the next ten years. Construction of the bridge began in May 29, 2013 and was completed in 27 months. Construction was reportedly done in record time as the bridge was completed nine months ahead of schedule.

Istanbul has a population of 14.3 million people, making it the most populous city in Turkey. The new bridge will help ease the traffic in the city.
