New Residence Permit regulations announced

The Immigration office (Göç İdaresi) announced on their official twitter feed (twitter.com/Gocidaresi) a number of changes to some Residence Permits that are implied to be effective immediately. We got confirmation from Antalya Immigration main office and there are announced changes:

1. The STRP (Short Term Residence Permit) will now be valid for 2 years instead of 1

2. FRP (Family Residence Permits) can now be up to 3 years in duration

3. The STRP limitation of 120 days outside of the country before cancellation of permit has been removed

4. The FRP limitation of 180 days outside the country before cancellation has been removed
